About the Saudi Green Company
We are the Saudi Green Company for Carbon Services (SGCS) the first Saudi company that develops &
registers carbon projects with the United Nation Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Our comprehensive portfolio contains Management of current carbon programs, Carbon Asset Management
& Carbon Emission Reduction (CER) Trading, Monitoring & Verification.
In 2012, SGCS developed and successfully registered with the UNFCCC a program for
renewable energy activities (PoA) that allows for the generation of carbon credits that can be sold
and traded on the European Union Emissions Trading Platform. SGCS is the only Saudi Company
that can register projects in the UNFCC under this PoA.
SGCS is the Only Saudi Company that owns PoA registered in UNFCCC for Renewable Energy and can Include any number of Renewable Projects under this PoA and until year 2040.
➢ CERs generated from the inclusion of these projects can be traded in the largest carbon market the Europe Trading Scheme (ETS) and this can only be done through SGCS.
➢ Developers/Owners will benefit financially from trading of CERs.
➢ Countries are recognized as Projects will have UN label/stamp of approval.
➢ Assist KSA in reaching economic, social, environmental and sustainable development objectives to achieve 2030 KSA vision.
